Mentoring

Robin is an experienced Mentor, working with leaders over the last 30 years supporting their career growth and development. Mentoring unlike coaching focuses on facilitating the personal and professional growth of individuals by providing guidance support and knowledge. Robin has been selected as a mentor due to his broad range of international experience which includes:

1

His leadership experience leading large diverse global teams, facing challenges of   remote working and cross cultural awareness for those moving into global, function head roles.

2

Navigating transformational change and building new HR operating models in the area of learning, talent acquisition and development supporting Chief People Officers and Heads of Talent and Learning.

3

Supporting high potential leaders to develop specific skills and more helpful mental models based on outputs from assessments and selection process or from feedback from their teams.

4

Supporting leaders make key career transitions such as supporting their first 90 days in role or working to help them prepare for their next career opportunity.

“As a mentor I’m deeply curious about how I can best help my clients. It’s a reciprocal relationship where I learn much  from those I mentor. My role is to be the guide by your side through whatever challenge you are facing or to achieve the outcome you are seeking. What experiences I share or advice I offer  is without attachment – you as the client remain responsible. I will offer what I know and have learnt from others and it will be your responsibility to decide what it is you want to do. Building your ability to discern, decide and take action is a key part of my approach as a mentor”
“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image , but  them the opportunity to create themselves”
